WHEN SHALL WE LEARN???

Today we went for Carollings.  Though only three houses, but there was striking thing happened we all were listening to that man, who travels to the others countries on their request to give lectures on various topics. I am not aware whether he is a professor or a government employee, but the things he shared is truly fitting to our situation here in Philippines.

While he was talking about his experience in Italy and Europe he talked about the declining population problems in those countries.  Then he shared a truth about the current situation in Thailand.  When he went to Thailand on an invitation by the government to give some lectures, he happened to talk with one of the Ministers of the Thailand Government.  Now the Thailand Government is realizing that one of their biggest mistake is BRINGING THE POPULATION CONTROL.  Now the Thailand Government instead of population control they try to create job opportunity to every youth.  Few years back the poverty and unemployment ratios were 21% and 18%, now it has just changed into 5% and 3%.  Imagine within these few years they could achieve that.

Then I just brought into the notice about what China and Malaysia that these countries are also withdrawing their one child and family planning policy.  In China there is only one girl for five boys??? He said that in 2030 Japan may collapse of man power, and Philippines should take over as India may take over China in another few years, but because of this RH BILL, the things which others countries are experiencing just before our eyes will happen here in Philippines, just in front of our eyes. In China and Japan the young man power is declining quickly.
He also shared that 3 Billion worth condom is waiting to be poured inside Philippines. Sex education is going to be compulsory in the schools.  Any teacher who refuses to do that will be imprisoned and punished.  As you read this one, there may be voting in the Senate for the RH BILL.  You know the truth, if a minister of senator vote for the RH BILL will get 5 million and those who abstain will get 3 million. (anyhow the condom companies are going to get 3 billion)  He was also suggesting that the government instead of buying condoms for this 3 billion can use that money to give employment to the youth that will be a great contribution to the society and to the country and that's what is happening in Thailand.  The problem with our politics is the try to keep the poor as poor maintaining the status co.  That will not help us in any way.  We need to make more job opportunities for the youth then there will be growth in the society.

He also shared another important thing which we really have to rediscover with humble heart that the priest never touch the doctrines of the Church in their homilies.  Just they were talking about something else or social concerns.  Quoting one true incident in the United States of America he said that in a particular place there was a Lutheran and Catholic Church side by side and for more than 200 years they were living united.  There came a Born Again Christian group and they challenged that they are going to invade the town.  The Catholic Priest thought for a while and what he did is that he start giving the Catechesis basing on the Catechism of the Catholic Church. What happened in few months, the Lutheran Church emptied and went away, but all those who went away from Catholic Church came back, the people were strengthened in their faith and catholic practices. So, he concluded that we need to go back to the roots.  The Church has to catechise the youth, young children.  The media now is distorting and brain washing this young children, but the Catholic Church should get them to the roots.

What he shared with us was truly truth and inspiring.

THE COUNTRIES WHO BROUGHT THE POPULATION CONTROL ARE NOW REGRETTING AND REVISING
PHILIPPINES ENTERING INTO THAT DANGER ZONE WITHOUT LEARNING A LESSON FROM THEIR EXPERIENCE
THE CATHOLIC CHURCH SHOULD GO BACK TO THE ROOTS AND TRAIN THE YOUNG CHILDREN IN THE PROPER CATHOLIC DOCTRINES

That's the purpose of Pope Benedict the XVI bringing the year of Faith.  Already there was a year of Faith in 1967, but the reason of bringing the Year of Faith again is to make the people go back to the roots. To learn the Documents of Vatican II, and to know the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

WILL YOU BE A WARRIOR? Defend the Church values, defend the human dignity, defend your faith.

LET'S SAY NO TO RH BILL, LET'S KNOW MORE ABOUT THE CATHOLIC DOCTRINES AND CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH AND LIVE A MEANINGFUL LIFE IN PROMOTING LOVE, PEACE AND JOY WHEREVER WE ARE.

NOTE: According to the Constitution of Philippines, the Government should save life at any cost, not to destroy? WHEN SHALL WE LEARN?

WHEN WILL WE UNDERSTAND? (Psalms 94:8)

"Remember this, you stupid people, when will you understand, you fools!" (Psalms 94:8)

Call me lunatic, or superstitious or whatever you like to call me, when the faithful Christians in Philippines say that the Knock Out defeat of Pac-man because he has abandoned the Cross and the Rosary and believe that what happened in India and what happens in Philippines are also the same but not the coincidence.  Still you may not get what I am talking about.  I am not talking about the Knock Out of Pac-man, he may rise again because his opponent is only a human, but if God stands against you, you need to cry out like Egyptians that God is fighting for them, and you cannot say like Pharaoh that it is better to die in fighting with God than to die in humiliation.  Sure, may be if we don’t listen to the warnings of God we may die like that.

Let me not keep you in suspense.  Hope no Filipino would have forgotten the ferocious dance of the flood in Manila last time – the time when the Government wanted to pass the RH bill by-passing the voting.  And it happened… flood in Manila… and there came just few days ago the super cyclone Pablo killing nearly 500 people leaving thousands homeless and missing.  This time the Government was preparing a legal voting to pass the RH bill.  Can we remember the word of God here? “Remember this, you stupid people, when will you understand, you fools!” (Psalms 94:8)  If we just move ahead of this verses you will be shocked to know how truthful the word of God.  It says, “How long shall the wicked, O Lord, how long shall the wicked exult? …. They crush your people, O Lord, they oppress your inheritance.  They murder the widow and the lonely, they massacre the helpless;”         (Psalms 94:3,5-6) And then follows the verse what we have seen.  Through this RH bill they are going to massacre the helpless… the helpless children in the womb, the helpless young mothers… you may know better than me.

Thinking or connecting the natural calamities to the present event may seem insane, lunatic or even superstition, but the history has proved.  When in 2001 killings in Gujarath and the massacre of thousands of Christians in Orissa in the year 2008 there followed earthquake and floods devastating the districts where the killings took place.

more than 20,000 people killed in 2001 earthquake in Gujarat
Orisa flood

You cannot call this as co-incidence anyone who turns back to the history will not deny this.  So, too, here in Philippines God is giving us warnings by flood, earthquake and cyclone.  If we fail to give heed to his voice and change our ways that discriminate human values and do any kind of harm to humanity in any form whether it is RH bill or whatever, the next time God’s wrath will fall upon us and no one can escape from that.  Our God is Merciful God but he is also a just judge.  It’s God who continues the work of creation with the help of human beings; won’t he know how to take care of them if we trust in his providential care?

“The Lord does not see,” they say, “the God of Jacob does not care.” Remember this, you stupid people, when will you understand, you fools! He who made the ear, will he not hear? He who formed the eye, will he not see? He who rebukes nations, will he not punish them?” (Psalms 94:7-10)
Ofcourse we don’t ask for the punishment or the wrath of God upon us and our nations, all we want is the government officials may cooperate with the plan of God.  With all their efforts the Bishops in Philippines invite us for the same. PUSH. Pray Until Something Happens.  We saw the mighty power of our unity on the Thanks Giving Day Celebrations of St. Pedro Calungsod.

Let’s unite again, let’s remember our history EDSA. Let’s join together and pray that RH BILL MAY NOT PASS.  When we can do so much GOD CAN DO MUCH MORE.

May Our Lady of Guadalupe, who promised that she is our mother and will protect from all dangers, intercede for us with her son Jesus Christ.

“Hear me and understand well, my son the least, that nothing should frighten or grieve you. Let not your heart be disturbed. Do not fear that sickness, nor any other sickness or anguish. Am I not here, who is your Mother? Are you not under my protection? Am I not your health? Are you not happily within my fold? What else do you wish? Do not grieve nor be disturbed by anything." (Our Lady of Guadalupe to St. Juan Diego)

IF YOU LOVE GOD AND LOVE HUMANITY PLEASE PRAY AND PASS ON THIS TO ALL THE "MEN OF GOOD WILL" AND SAY NO TO RH BILL.

Let's Celebrate this Christmas Meaningfully.

ACT OF DEDICATION OF THE HUMAN RACE TO JESUS CHRIST KING

Most sweet Jesus, Redeemer of the human race, look down upon us humbly prostrate before you.   We are yours, and yours we wish to be; but to be more surely united with you, behold each one of us freely consecrates himself today to your Most Sacred Heart.  Many indeed have never known you; many, too, despising your precepts, have rejected you.  Have mercy on them all, most merciful Jesus, and draw them to your Sacred Heart.  Be King, O Lord, not only of the faithful who have never forsaken you, but also of the prodigal children who have abandoned you; grant that they may quickly return to their Father's house, lest they die of wretchedness and hunger.  Be King of those who are deceived by erroneous opinions,or whom discord keeps aloof, and call them back to the harbor of truth and the unity of faith, so that soon there may be but one flock and one Shepherd.  Grant, O Lord, to your Church assurance of freedom and immunity from harm; give tranquility of order to all nations; make the earth resound from pole to pole with one cry: Praise to the divine Heart that wrought our salvation; to it be glory and honor for ever. Amen.

(A Partial indulgence is granted to the faithful, who piously recite the above Act of Dedication of the Human Race to Jesus Christ King.  A plenary indulgence is granted, if it is recite publicly on the feast of our Lord Jesus Christ King.)

HOW MANY TIMES MUST I FORGIVE?

Why does it hurt me very much? Can anyone of us ever ask this question in our life? Mostly we feel hurt but seldom have we questioned why it hurts me.  We cry when we are hurt – tears roll down – at least in our hearts if not in our eyes.  Then, what is next action? No no it’s only reaction.  We react telling that we will show them who we are or else, that we will make them to feel the same pain or at least to the minimum we will have a grudge, or hatred feeling and that person sits into our heart and mind a reason to be disturbed.

When I reflected why it hurts me very much, I realized because there is some relationship involved in that, there is a kind of love and care involved in that. If a person who in no way related to me says something or acts indifferently towards me, I may not act or react or get hurt, because he/she does not know me.  I get hurt when someone whom I know well and trust so much behaves in a different way as though he did not understand you… hu… it hurts me very much.  The Psalmist too affirms that hurt comes only by our close friends or relatives or someone whom we love most.  He laments, “If it were a rival insulting me, I could bear with him, if it were a foe in pursuit of me, I could hide from him.  But it is you, an equal of mine, my bosom friend, my companion whose fellowship I enjoyed as we walked together in the house of God.” (Psalm 55:13-15)  In the relationship it is unavoidable.  Do we remember again what King David cries in the psalms for the bitter hurt by betrayal? "Even my most trusted friend, with whom I shared my food, has lifted his heel against me."  (Psalms 41:9)
It won’t hurt me when you hurt me without knowing about me, but when you know me well and show that you understand me, even a little of your word or deed is enough to make a deep cut into my broken heart.  HOW MANY TIMES? Once, twice, thrice, four times? When you hurt me once it’s by ignorance, when you hurt me for the second time it might have been by mistake but when you hurt me more than three times then it’s either your character or deliberation, whether knowingly or unknowingly.

The unforgiving servant
How many times can I bear that? Mmmm…. I remember St. Peter.  Among all the Apostles St. Peter was a tough man, a short tempered person, quick to answer and innocent.  “Lord, how many times must I forgive?” was his question.  Just before this the Apostles had a discussion on ‘who is the greatest?’ and Jesus taught them the lesson of humility to become like children and with this question Jesus will be telling him about the parable of unforgiving servant.  In any situation the answer of Jesus is simple, “seventy times seven.”  Not by literal calculations, these numbers are indicating perfection or completion in Hebrew culture.  Even Jesus himself says in Luke’s Gospel, “Be careful. If your brother offends you, rebuke him and if he is sorry, forgive him.  And if he offends you seven times in a day but says to you seven times: ‘I’m sorry,’ forgive him.”
Yes, all these teachings and preachings are nice but when it comes to the matter of practical experience it’s hard to do this.  Then what shall I do, If my love is true, it should not keep the record of wrong (1Cor. 13:6) and “Love overcomes anger and forgets offenses.” (1Cor. 13:5)  I am trying hard for that, but still when my strength fails to do this, to forgive and forget what shall I do?  Just follow what the Psalmist says when he encountered with similar problem, “They return my friendship with slander, and yet I pray for them.” (Psalm 109:4)  Yes, I can do that and moreover Jesus himself gave a strong reason to forgive others, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do!” (Luke 23:34)

“If you forgive others their wrongs, your Father in heaven will also forgive yours.  If you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive you either.”  (Matthew 6:14,15)

BE STILL

Restless World
always promising the rest
recklessly searching for some rest.

Busying with many things,
Tussling with anything,
puzzling with everything,
sizzling truth is we're nothing,
fizzling this truth in the wind

Trying to have comfort,
building many ramparts,
buying every possible things,
dying to posses all things...

Running always for money
spinning like bee of honey
whether it's rainy or sunny
at the end life becomes funny

Reaching the end,
totally broken and bend,
when we think it's time to rest,
There is no time left.

Be still and know that I am God. (Psalm 46:11)
"Conversion and calmness would have been your salvation, quietness and trust your strength."
 (Isaiah 30:15)

IT'S YOU WHO I AM

Where are you?
waking up from the sleep,
rushing through the days,
running through the time
I am tired of this life!

Who threw me down to this earth?
with cries and confusion,
with failure and frustration,
with hurt and humiliation,
with broken and over taken...
Who threw me down here???

Is this the life all about?
To fight and fret,
to fright and flight,
to run and rush,
with pain and crushed
Is this life all about?

WHO SAID?

I SAID, "I AM THE WAY;"
You said, "I know to walk."
I SAID, "I AM THE LIFE;"
You said, "I am tired of this life."
I SAID "I WILL GIVE YOU REST;"
You said, "I am alright."
I SAID, "COME TO ME;"
You said, "I have to go."
I SAID, "TAKE SOME REST;"
You said, "I've no time to rest."
I SAID, "AT LEAST LOVE A LITTLE;"
You said, "I hate everybody."

You looked for me everywhere,
except in your family and friends.
You searched me all the way,
except in you.

Here I am, who created you,
who formed you in your mother's womb. (Is. 43:1)
"I came so that you may have life,
Life in all it's fullness." (Jn. 10:10)
"I have told you all this,
that my own joy may be in you
and your joy may be complete." (John 15:11)

HERE I AM, IN YOU
AND IN YOUR NEIGHBOR
FOR IT'S YOU WHO I AM
